everyday

January 10, 2009

I’m big on no make up make up. So much so that few people actually realize how kikay I am.

This is how I clean up on a regular day:
Photobucket

Oops. Badly blended concealer in some areas. hihihi.

I’m having a zit-y couple of days (wrong cleanser choices). Boo.

My usual products used are:

Laura Mercier Secret Concealer 6 (Too dark. But the orangey tone is good for hiding my dark undereye circles…)
The Balm  Concealer Light/Medium ( I think it’s a little too light for me. but when layered over the Laura Mercier, it’s perfect)
Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder (this stuff is Fantastic. I will probably devote a post on this in the future)
Dr. Feelgood by Benefit (only when I’m feeling wretchedly blotchy and big pored. and when I somehow have to use a foundie)

MAC  Studio Fix in NC43 . I actually chose the shade while online, so I never got to verify if it’s correct. I’m happy with it nonetheless.

Maybelline waterproof liquid liner in dark brown (not shown in picture). The felt tip is great! I’m still a bit nervous about using a brush. Pasmado ako.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Bronzer. I’m lazy to contour. I just fluff it all over and try to look less pasty.

-Clear lip gloss from Lancome. I only use this if I happen to fish it out of my bag. which is rare. I’m a chronic lip licker, see.

I realize this is quite a skinny list, especially if you’re looking for eyeshadow action. The reason why I rarely wear eyeshadow is that I don’t know how to do it that well! I’m determined to learn tho, so I’ll post some stuff about that too.

Judging from that list of my usuals, I guess you can say I concentrate more on concealing and making sure my brows aren’t veritable forests.

That and cleansing (Cetaphil/Neutrogena Dermabrasion paste thingamajig), toning (godiva alchohol free toner. I just slap it lightly on my face), and moisturizing like there’s no tomorrow (olay/body shop vit. e night cream/glycerin).

One of the best pieces of advice I ever got was to ‘moisturize while your skin is still damp’. I swear my skin feels so soft and smooth and somehow less greasy after. It makes for a good canvass 😀
